Did someone try to kill me or am I going mad?

When writer Rob Fallon gets drunk one night and ends up joining his best-friend's girlfriend, Jenny, in her apartment in London's West End, he's feeling guilty before anything's even happened. But guilt quickly turns to shock when two men break into the apartment, abduct Jenny, and try to kill Rob.

But when Rob reports the abduction to the police no one believes him. Jenny's father claims she's on holiday abroad, her apartment appears untouched, and the doorman didn't see or hear anything.

Rob can't let things lie - not with Jenny's life in danger. But when he starts asking questions, he finds himself the target of killers . But what is it they're so desperate to hide? And what does it have to do with an ordinary girl like Jenny? Either Rob finds out, or he's dead. It's that simple ...

TARGET : This is one of the best books from Simon. Have read them all, but this one takes from front cover to the back page at such a fast pace-you just cannot put it down.

Utterly riveting. It's been years since I read a book that kept me up all night, and Mr Kernick delivers in full.

Hold on tight. Grit your teeth. Expect the unexpected. Because this writer does not pull his punches.

This man is a genius, the only problem is that you want so desperatley to get to the end to find out how it all turns out, but dont want the book to end. Read it in less than a day, had to apologise to my parntner for not speaking to him but then he did the same to me the very next day. The rest of Simons book s are on my christmas list !

I first found one of simons books why on holiday in Turkey, lying around the pool in very poor condition someone had clearly finished with relentless so i took to starting this book, i couldnt put it down, through the xray machine with it still in my hand i went before boarding the plane, i finished it as we were flying over the alps. i was hooked and on return to uk i ordered the entire collection. having just retunred from another holiday in turkey where i took Target to read, this book is amazing, gripping, a brilliant read. please roll on number nine.
well done simon.

The free copy of The Business of Dying with the Evening Standard a couple of weeks ago has got me hooked. Just finished Target on the train down from Aberdeen to London. Couldn't put it down and didn't need to. Never thought I'd like thrillers but I'm now addicted.

Oo-er! the review I did earlier must have evaporated into the ether......!

Anyway, I have to say TARGET was a hit, start to finish! I had to almost have the book surgically removed in order to eat (or do anything else!) Loved the pace and the shock-tactics! Was literally on the edge of my seat - I think a five-star award isn't enough!

I blame you for feeling absolutely shattered. I started Target in the evening and read it straight through. To say that I found it gripping would be an understatement.
I will now go to Amazon and buy the only other two books that I have not yet read - so more sleepless nights to come

having started with relentless i went back to the beginning and read all of the books in order and having just finished target a short while ago, all i can say is wow!!! as with all of simon's books a tightly wound & gripping plot with believable characters and some fantastic situations and dark humour thrown into the mix, the chapters are devoured at a frightening rate - fantastic stuff as always - keep up the good work simon, i look forward to reading 'the last to die' in the new year and following that i particularly look forward to the eventual return of dennis milne (not before time too)
